Over the last 30 years Brisbane Deck Re-Coating has refined the timber surface preparation process to a fine art. We use all our expertise and a wide array of tools and methods to sand and prepare decks and outdoor timber structures correctly to ensure the re-coating products will protect the underlying timber. It's this attention to preparation detail that delivers an outstanding finish everytime.

An inspection reveals any minor building defects or issues that need to be addressed before preparation begins. Any nailing required is performed with an air punch, minimising damage to timber surfaces and ensuring solid fastening.

All surfaces to be coated are then sanded to bare timber by qualified floor sanders, using specialised industrial sanding machinery and tools to ensure the surface is clear of any old coatings, and will absorb the coating products as much as possible. This greatly prolongs the efectiveness of the timber coating in resisting wear through exposure to sunlight, water and the elements. The surfaces are then thoroughly washed with Deck Reviva, a specialised product that penetrates the timber prior to coating, and clears the way for the stain to penetrate the timber as far as possible.

All surfaces not being coated are covered to ensure a clean, no-drip finish. We also remove any large or bulky items from the area to minimise the risk of drips or splash damage. Saw dust from the sanding process is cleaned and collected as we go to make sure it does not end up in gardens or over landscape features.
